COVID update for Camp Create
We recognize that this past 2 years have been extremely rough. It certainly has made it difficult to plan for any classes and for your children's summer events. While the situation is ever-fluctuating, we have put together this page to help you understand our protocol at Camp Create. To put our minds more at ease, we plan to continue utilizing the safeguards that we put in place last summer:
* Reducing the amount of campers that we take. The venue room that we rent will hold 200 campers. We made the decision to only fill it to 35% capacity.
* Supplies will be sanitized by volunteers during the children’s outside time
* We plan to put fewer children around the tables then previous years.
* Having everyone use hand sanitizer at scheduled intervals.
* Parents can distance and wear masks for pick up and drop off if they would like.
While we will make every effort to mitigate risks, we do understand that each family will have to determine if camp is right for your child this summer. While masks are welcome, we do not mandate that they be worn at the camp.
We do not want to encourage anyone whose family has underlying conditions or weakened immune systems to expose themselves to risks.
Regarding payment:
Even if you have not yet paid, after registration your child’s spot is secured. However, due to planning and the purchasing of art supplies, payment (and your decision) must be finalized by June 9th. Registrations, payments and refunds (for cancellations) can only be processed until that time as well.
We will continue to share updates on our website, via e-mail as well as Facebook and Instagram should anything change.
We are hopeful and prayerful that our country will be rebounding and even in a better position come June to host this wonderful week of camp that both the kids and the counselors look forward to each summer.
Our mission is always to create a safe, inspiring and engaging atmosphere for your children to create in!
Let us know if you still have questions. We value and welcome your feedback.
Blessings,
- Miss Caryn and Miss Holli
