A bit about me ...

As an Italian-American mother of 3, I am passionate about family and food. Many of my art pieces boast fresh fruits and family recipes. Some of my favorite things are gardening, cooking, being on the water and painting. I have a great love for family and friends gathering in our warm balmy Florida landscapes!
Art has never left my side (at least not for long). Creating things brought me much joy growing up and still does. I have served professionally as a watercolor artist, designer and illustrator for clients both large and small. I love bringing people refreshment and inspiration with my art. To create things that they can enjoy for generations to come with their families is my goal.
With a background in graphic design and a degree in visual communication from The Ohio State University, merging type and watercolors is the ultimate in beauty to me.
I host an open art studio time year round as well as an annual summer art camp for elementary aged children. I love learning about people's hopes, histories and unique styles. I enjoy helping people relax and collaborate with me on their creative projects.
Watercolors are my absolute favorite medium. There is just something spectacular about sitting down with that sheet of crisp, white, empty paper and watching it transform into something meaningful. Many times when I paint or design I have had in imagery in my head just waiting its turn to be put on paper. I start by planning edges and values and penciling in my subject matter first. Having the outline out of the way allows me to relax and enjoy the painting and design process more freely.

One of my favorite aspects of watercolor is letting the colors intermingle on the paper within the water yielding surprising and often unexpected results.
Watercolors are also a great medium for artists with children because they lend themselves to being interrupted! Taking those drying breaks in between layers of color truly does yield better, fresher looking results.
My main inspirations comes from things that I love and care about; food, family and marriage. I hope to bring your watercolor visions to life for your special event, invitations or family recipe. There are just so many wonderful things to make into a painting. Have a look at a few of my collection of culinary art for custom paintings for inspiration.
